The Greater Palm Springs Area is a summer paradise in the middle of winter. Many Southern Californians escape the cold chills of the winter seas here. There are a number of great recreational activities, dining options, and natural exhibits to appreciate all year long.

The following are some of the types of animals living there:

  • · Wolves
  • · Jaguars
  • · Mountain Lions
  • · Hawks
  • · Owls

The Living Desert also includes many other species of exotic animals.

5 Herbal Remedies to Allergy Symptoms

Basically an allergy is an inaccurate response to the body's immune system to a substance that under normal circumstances is not deleterious to the bodies health. The immune system starts sending white blood cells after foreign invaders that are not harmful to the body; this in turn causes more damage to the body then to the foreign substance.

Allergies can consist of nasal congestion, coughing, wheezing, itching, shortness of breath, headache, fatigue, hives and skin rashes. With the proper herbs and herbal combinations one can find relief from reoccurring allergic reactions to foods and other substances. One can always go the conventional route but risk an entire bevy of side effects, because most over the counter drugs are toxic to the body.

Eucalyptus

The first herb that can be used for allergic reactions is eucalyptus leaf. They can be used to relieve symptoms of congestion.

Nettle

The second herb that can be used is nettle. Nettle will reduce inflammation in the sinus cavities. It has amazing antioxidants within it and can help protect from free radical damage. This herb will stop allergy attacks in their tracks.

Magnolia

The third herb that may be employed is magnolia flower (Magnolia liliflora, or xho yi hua). This is a centuries old Chinese medicine that will relieve headaches and also allow for the opening of the nasal passages, which are directly related with sinus problems. Leave your Tylenol in the medicine cabinet where it belongs.

Scutellaria

The fourth herb is called scutellaria (Scuttellaria baicalensis) root. This herb has antioxidants and flavonoids that will build up the immune system. This herb will stop the constriction of tissues during an allergic reaction.

Angelica

The fifth herb to be used for allergies is called wild angelica (Angelica dahurica or aka bai zhi) is also helpful for sinus problems. This herb helps relieve soreness in eyes, when the sinuses above the eyes have been obstructed. This powerful plant will regulate the swelling, create discharge of pus connected with a sinus infection, and open up the nasal passages. This herb will bring histamine levels into balance.

If you want to purchase any of the herbs listed above you can get them cheaply in pill form, from iherb.com. One of the ad links on this website.

Vacation Reviews: Top 5 Places to See in Cancun Mexico

Introduction

Cancun is a wondrous beautiful tropical region of Quintana Roo. Here you will find beautiful beaches, amazing ruins of ancient civilizations, luxury hotel accommodations, downtown shopping, and fun recreational activities

There is so much to do and experience in this part of the world. Try to experience everything that you can, and even save some stuff to do for your next visit. I traveled there about 15 years ago, but I still remember many of the sites I saw -they were truly wondrous.

Beaches

You can visit the many beaches of Cancun. Cancun includes two major beach areas: The North Side, and The East Side.

The North Side

The North Side is a 14-mile semicircle that is right near the waters of Mujeres Bay. The North Side includes: Playa Caracol and Punta Cancun. These two beaches are great for children. These beaches are shallow; they are full of bars, restaurants, and water activities.

Other beaches on the North Side include Playa Langosta, Playa Las Perlas and Playa Tortugas. At these three beaches you can get shuttled to Isla Mujeres, play sand volleyball, and go to more restaurants and bars. For those that like submarine tours you can visit Playa Linda.

The East Side

The East Side of Cancun's beaches, borders the Caribbean Sea. These beeches have higher winds, and waves than in the north. Beaches such as Chac Mool, Gaviota Azul and Playa Marlin are great for sail boarding and para-sailing due to the high winds.

The best views can be found on Punta Nizuc and Playa Delfine. And for those that like ruins San Miguelito has a Mayan ruin, and a beach.

Be Cautious at Sea

Be sure not to carry too many valuables on you when traveling on a boat. You are in a foreign country, and there are pirates ate sea at times; be aware of this and use some caution and common sense. Even in modern times a bit of the ancient world of mystery and mayhem still exists in the oceans off the Caribbean.

Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza is one of the world's most breathtaking sites of ruins, pyramids, ancient observatories. Chichen Itza means "at the mouth of the well of Itza." The most stunning site there is The Kukulkan Pyramid , also known as, "El Castillo" (the castle).

The Chichen Itza site is prominently featured in Cinderella's music video Gypsy Road from the 1980's.The Pyramid is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, officially announced in 7-7-2007. The Pyramid is 24 meters high; it is a work of architectural genius.

Downtown Area

Cancun has a great downtown area for shopping, dining, and night life. You can shop all day, have some great food, a bohemia beer, and get some souvenirs of the local towns. If you want to see how the locals do it, check out Downtown Cancun.

The Hotel Zone

You can experience the Hotel Zone where you will find many great luxury hotels. The hotels are truly amazing; they have great restaurants, beaches, beautiful pools, and Jacuzzi's. You can visit them all to get a preview of some hotels you may want to stay at in the future. Some hotels sell cigars; they are some of the most flavorful cigars in the world.

Xcaret

Take a whole day to experience the Archaeological Park called Xcaret . Here you can swim and snorkel in natural oceanic waters through streams, tunnels, and caves. Participate in many fun activities, and watch amazing performances -with authentic dancers in their native Mayan costumes. Be sure to pack your swimsuit; there's tons of swimming through natural water ways.

Drink A Beer a Day and Keep the Doctor Away

Photo by Trexer CC By 3.0

Introduction

Most people think about beer as something that is unhealthy and contributes to diseases such as cihrrosis. Why this maybe true for people who drink too much. Beer has other benefits when it is used responsibly. Beer can help prevent cancer, dementia, and extend life. We will explore these ideas in this blog.

Beer Lengthens Telomeres

The Voice of Russia website featured an article in 2013 that explained how beer lengthens telomeres. Telomeres are composed of DNA and proteins, and they are at the ends of the strands of DNA in our chromosomes. As Telomeres shorten, disease and illness follows. The study found that a 5-to-7 percent ethanol solution would lengthen the telomeres.

Xanthohumol

Beer has an herb called hops that contains a health promoting flavonoid called Xanthohumol. Anthony Rivas wrote a great article explaining beers health promoting properties. Xanthohumol is an anti-oxidant that gives the beer its flavor and its tanginess. The darker the beer the better.

Researchers at Oregon State University have discovered that Xanthohumol inhibits a family of enzymes called cytochromes P450 that activate the cancer process. Xanthohumol creates the "quinone reductase" process thait aids in the detoxification of carcinogens. It will inhibit tumor growth in the early stages.

Beer was studied by researchers from the University of Lanzhou, China in 2015. They found that the xanthohumol in beer had anti-cancer, heart protective, and anti-inflammation properties.

Larger Memory in Moderate Beer Drinks

Earlier studies from last year at Lanzhou, China showed that moderate drinkers had larger hippocampuses. Anthony went on to explain how the larger hippocampuses translated to a better episodic memory. The improved memory stimulation may play a role in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease.

B-17: The Vitamin that Naturally Kills Cancer Cells

Disclaimer: The health advice on this site is meant for basic informational purpose only. It is not intended as medical advice, or a substitute for a doctor's appointment, or as a substitute for diagnosing or treating disease. User's are advised to consult with a medical physician before making any decisions concerning their health.

B-17

The Hunza's are a remarkable culture in that the incidence of cancer is non-existent in most people. The average life span is about 84 years. There is one main reason for this, the people eat grains, and seeds that are very high in a nutritious food called B-17 (a vitamin) -that in fact contains a natural poison (cyanide) that kills cancer cells.

According to G. Edward, Griffinn (2007 p. 89) , the B-17 substance releases cyanide at the cancer cell only, only to that cancer cell and nowhere else in the body. In the body as whole it is inert, but at the cancer cell it release the poisons right on target.

The True Physical Cause of Cancer

By 1952, Dr. Ernst T. Krebs, Jr., a biochemist in San Francisco, had advanced the theory that cancer, like scurvy, and pellagra, is not caused by some kind of mysterious bacterium, virus, or toxin, but is merely a deficiency disease aggravated by the lack of an essential food compound in modern-man's diet. (Griffin, 2007 p. 56).

Further he found that this specific food substance was found in the nitriloside family, which naturally occurs in twelve-hundred edible plants found all over the globe. (Griffin, 2007 p. 56).

Foods with the B-17 Vitamin

It is particularly prevalent in the seeds of those fruits in the Prunus Rosacea family (bitter almond, apricot, blackthorn, cherry, nectarine, peach, and plum), but also contained in grasses, maize, sorghum, millet, cassava, linseed, apple seeds, and many other foods that, generally, have been deleted from the menus of modern civilization. (Griffin, 2007 p. 56).

The highest amount of this substance is found in apricot seeds. Now before you start gobbling them down read this quote.

Therefore, it is wise to follow the simple rule that one should not eat at one time more seeds than he likely could consume if he also were eating a reasonable quantity of the whole fruit. (Griffin, 2007 p. 100).

Directions for Eating Apricot Kernels

I'd start with one kernel per day before you are comfortable with it. And then build it up two and three and four, and finally twelve. The above direct quote is a general guideline to abide by if you decide to eat apricot kernels. Further I would recommend you buy the book World Without Cancer and read it from front to back before trying this medicine.

Dosage

According to Griffin (2007) , It is recommended to eat 12 (fifty milligrams) seeds a day for people without a history of cancer in the family. And you eat seeds with foods, not alone due to the bitter taste, some examples would be salads, yogurt, even ice cream. Never eat them all at once, but divide it up in three meals for the entire day. So you eat 4 kernels, one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Now for those with cancer in their family it is recommended to take double the amount. Start slowly, build up your number of seeds, and always eat it with food and divide it up in small meals throughout the day. Never eat them all at once, and without food- too bitter- and it goes against the basic guideline noted. And always eat trusted domesticated apricot kernels, never eat wild apricot kernels. (Griffin, 2007)

Cassava Root In The Native American's Diet

Native American people commonly eat a root called cassava root. They're incidence of cancer is almost non-existent when on their native diet. When they stop eating their native diet then they are susceptible to disease. (Griffin, 2007)

The Eskimo and Their Native Diet

The third culture we'll mention is the Eskimos. They are almost an entirely meat eating society living in the ice cold temperatures. There main food is caribou meat which is rich with B-17. This is because the caribou consume many grasses containing B-17. (Griffin, 2007)

Unfortunately, modern civilization moved away from eating this bitter substance and therefore introduced disease. At one time Western people ate sorghum instead of sugar, also rich in B-17.

Food as Medicine

One suggestion, is instead of white flour pancakes, eat buckwheat (B-17) pancakes. The secret is to make your food your medicine.

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," was advise from the Greek physican Hippocrates. Why should food just be to stuff you up. (Anonymous, 2012).

Allergy Warnings and Apricot Trees to Avoid

Do not consume apricot seeds if you may be allergic to them, or if they are from a wild tree. Further do not consume them unless you abide by the guidelines in this article or as mentioned in the book World Without Cancer.

Thank you for reading, and I wish you the best of health for your life.

Micro Touch Safety Razor Chrome Review

Hi all;

Well I've been on the market for a new razor for some time now. My old electric razor broke down and I didn't want to buy the expensive plastic razors you get in a bag. They work really good but its like a few bucks every week, and that adds up really fast.

I'm not a big believer in infomericals but one night I saw the Rick Harrison ad. I thought it looked pretty straight forward and I read about safety razors being good.

This TV razor really works good, it shaves very smooth. This razor is great, and you only replace the razors, other than that it's a real money saver.

I highly recommend it.

Marine Coral Calcium and Vitamin D: A Tool to Prevent Cancer and Extend Life

Disclaimer: The health advice on this site is meant for basic informational purpose only. It is not intended as medical advice, or a substitute for a doctor's appointment, or as a substitute for diagnosing or treating disease.  User's  are advised to consult with a medical physician before making any decisions concerning their health.

My Experience With Disease

I have been fascinated by alternative medicine for over eighteen years. My grandfather died of cancer, my dad died of cancer, and both my grandmother's died of cancer. So there has been a lot of disease in my family and no one was effective in curing it. They were treated for the disease, but unfortunately there was no permanent cure. So I have been an enthusiast of holistic therapies for a long time.

And I have wondered why on earth do people get disease and die pre-maturely. There's a lot that we don't know; so I believe if you want to be healthy you should keep an open mind and you should listen to many sources.

A Search for Health

If you want to be disease free for life. You must do a number of things on a weekly to monthly basis. If you do these things you will be healthy till you live to be 120 and beyond . Only you will determine how long you will live, no one else.

1,000 mg of Marine Grade Coral Calcium Daily

You need to have at least 1,000 mg of pure marine grade coral calcium every day. This floods your body with oxygen and makes you alkaline therefore making you immune to every chronic and life threatening disease. (Barefoot Cd)

Noble Prize Winner Dr. Otto Warburg's Theory

Most cancers must have an anaerobic (o xygen depleted) environment to grow; an aerobic (oxygen rich) environment makes it impossible for diseases like cancer to ever start.

Dr. Otto Warburg said, "The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar." (Anonymous Wikipedia)

Take the Coral Calcium with Vitamin D for Maximum Absorption

You have to take the calcium with approximately 5,000 IU's of vitamin D . Anything less will have no effect. The vitamin D helps your body absorb the calcium effectively. You can also get vitamin D from exposure to pure sunlight which you should get on a daily and weekly basis. (Barefoot Cd)

Vitamin D is essential to your health, follow this link  for more information.

Get Sunlight Daily With No Shades and No Sunblock

If you go into the sun from 15-30 minutes daily, avoiding the time frame of 11 am- 2pm due to harmful sunrays; then you'll be fine. (Weirich Health at Last Radio)

Further basic alkalinity involves eating lots of fruits and vegetables, which are naturally alkaline.

What Kind of Coral Calcium and Vitamin D to Buy

I recommend you get something that says marine grade from coral reefs in the ocean, not from the land; since marine grade is easier to assimilate. An added side effect is the calcium will help you sleep when you take it at night.
