Poem: Daylight in the Desert

D A Y L I G H T I N T H E D E S E R T

Large saguaro cactuses greet the new day;
sharp and proud he appears resilient in
the desert lands.

Light drizzle covers the cacti land, ensuring a constant supply of water to these large beings.

Lightning and thunder appear in the sky and strikes the land.

Saguaro cactuses bulge up high and scatter throughout the landscape.

Lightning erupts and strikes the ground in zigzag sparks like magic out of a wizard’s hands.

Drizzle and rains cover our journey through the desert.

Desert plants reach out all around us, along with the beautiful saguaros and yellowish choyas, succulent cacti plants.

The scent of the desert covers our existence we are alive and vivified by her
presence….
