Along the Pacific Coast Highway you'll find the famous Huntington Beach, known for its surfing and beautiful beaches. Enjoy a day at the beach with family, on a date, or alone.
Walk to the Classic Huntington Beach pier for a day of fishing, shopping, or eating. The pier has three stores Kite Connection, Surf City Store, and Let's Go Fishing. At Let's Go Fishing you can rent reels and rods and buy bait and tackle for pier fishing- all piers in California allow for free fishing along with a valid fishing license. The pier also has special sink basins for cleaning your freshly caught fish.
If you get hungry while on the pier you can enjoy Ruby's Surf City Diner. Eat at Ruby's and enjoy classic American 50's style food.
Other inexpensive activities at Huntington Beach include volleyball, barbecuing over an open fire, bicycling or just laying down on a towel and picking up some rays.
The next destination on PCH is Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Shop at some of the highest quality designer stores and keep up with all the latest fashion trends. They have beautiful indoor shopping malls, and some of the best outdoor shopping outlets you'll find in the country.
Fashion Island also has great restaurants. Some of the coolest places to eat are The Cheese Cake Factory, P.F. Chang's, the Hard Rock Café, Roy's, and French 75 Bistro.
The other destination along PCH is old town Newport Beach. You can enjoy a variety of restaurants along PCH, or a day at the beach. At Newport you can rent a skiff in the harbor, go on a Sports-fishing charter boat, or enjoy the many shopping opportunities along the beach.
When in Newport Beach plan your trip carefully as the roads get very crowded here, and make sure you make reservations at the restaurant you plan on visiting.
There's plenty to do along Pacific Coast Highway, whether its shopping, eating, fishing or other fun sea-side activities. Don't miss out and plan your trip today!
